Dr. Neelmani Jaysawal
He is an Assistant Professor at Department of Social Work, Visva- Bharati, Sriniketan, West Bengal, India. He did his M.A (Social Work) from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and obtained his PhD. from Visva-Bharati. He has presented Papers in various National and International Seminar and Conferences in institutions like University of Delhi, IIM Bangalore, NIRD Hyderabad. He has co-chaired several seminar and conferences and delivered talks in Panel Discussion on contemporary issues like ‘Uyghur Genocide in China’, ‘Rural Health: An Indian Challenge’ through online media platforms. He has to his credit publication of articles in various reputed national and international journals as well as edited volumes. He has edited books on various issues of social concern. Some of them are: Relevance of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar for Inclusive Development in India: Inclusive Development, Women Empowerment and Social Justice, Human Rights and Social Justice: Issues and Concerns, Prevention of Violence Against Children: Challenges and Opportunities, Contribution of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar to Modern India. He has been Reviewer for various renowned international journals like; Social Work Journal, Community Development Journal, Space and Culture, Voluntas, Interest Groups & Advocacy Journal, International Journal of Social Work and Human Services Practice, etc. He has conducted a joint mini Research Project titled “Problem of Accessibility in Elementary Education by Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes: A Study in Hingalganj Block”. He has also been Nodal Officer for the conduct of Students Satisfaction Survey (SSS) through National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA) under the scheme of National Resource Centre of Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching (PMMMNMTT), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India in 2018. He has also been member of Bhavana level Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) for Palli Samgathana Vibhaga, Visva-Bharati. In addition, he is associated with various professional bodies like NAPSWI, ISPSW, ISDS. His Areas of Interest includes Civil Society & Governance, Social Capital, Rural & Urban Development, NGO Management, Women Empowerment.
